Matt Martin
After graduating from university in 1994, I entered the banking sector working for HSBC, but soon realised that banking was just not for me!
I started my property career in 1997, working for General Accident Property Services, which later became LSL Property Services. I worked in all disciplines during my 15 years there, spending the last 7 years in various senior management positions.
I set up Ivy Gate in 2012 with my business partners Jason and Stuart and have worked tirelessly building a brand and a business since then. The idea to “do it on our own” was driven by our combined desire to make sure customer service was at the forefront of our agency business, something we felt many agents just don’t get right!
In 2017 Jason moved on to a new venture and I took over the role of Managing Director for Ivy Gate.
I moved from New Malden, where I had lived for 14 years, to Old Malden in 2018 with my wife, two daughters and our lovely dog Ted.
I try to engage with the local community as much as possible as it is very important to me. I have sponsored numerous local schools, sports events/clubs, local football teams, river cleans etc. I am chair of Governors for Burlington Infants School in New Malden and also part of the Friends of Manor Park Committee.

I have passion for DIY and have spent the last four years since i moved, renovating the house.If I Won The Lottery
I would take my family away for a very long holiday initially. I would then look at moving to a larger family home and use some of the money to renovate it and possibly buying a holiday home in Salcombe (where we go as a family every year). I would also invest some in the many needed areas within the community.When I'm Not Working
I spend as much time as possible with my wife and two young daughters. We love our annual holiday in Salcombe, a beautiful environment to spend time together as a family. I am a golf enthusiast and like to get out to play every week if I can. My other passions are Football and Rugby Union.Interests
